I work with The Help Group to increase their outreach online. One of their programs, Advance LA, is relatively new with many social skills events and transitional efforts for the young adults and parents alike.

I first met Gloria Perez-Walker through Art Meza of the Cypress Park Library, all on Twitter. She’s a wonderful, honest spirit who uses her own experiences to aid parents navigating the autism world. A few weeks ago I answered a tweet where she asked about after school programs, and connected her to Dr. Amy Griffiths, Director of Advance LA.

They had a great interview, and it’s interesting to know what’s out there even if you don’t need the services.

By the way, is it incredibly cool that part of my job is to attend their Halloween events and tweet about them? I think it is.
