I decided to list these skills that I was recently asked to compile. For now it is just the facts, or as I like to call it, My Ideal Job Description. Over time I will link to examples of some items or further explanation. Comment if you want to know more specifics!
Assessment, strategies, etc can be applied to overall organization or specific campaigns as needed.
Online Outreach
- Identify Disconnect between organizations and target audiences
- Learn where target audiences live, work, play & make decisions
- Learn to whom target audiences listen
- Strategize best methods (“Bridges”) to reach target audiences
- Build and promote Bridges when necessary
- Track statistics and values according to goals set and org mission
- Train staff in methods and create manual when appropriate
Social Media Manuals
- Assessment of staff’s training needs and learning environment
- Create virtual manual, including instruction videos, for online training
- Follow up as needed

Training at all levels
- Assessment of staff’s training needs and learning environment

Social Media for Nonprofits |
- From ground up, midstream or advanced, evaluate org’s use of social media towards their goals and mission.

- Suggestions for existing social media platforms in use

Branding

Community Connector
- Strategize the civics | community orgs in target areas
- Follow in the most active ways online as possible
- Create online relationship & oversee transition to off-line
- Draw attention to the relationship between their audience & yours
- Report on potential funding and outreach opportunities
- Create calendar of suggested events to attend | people to meet
- Attend events, street festivals and community meetings on behalf of org
- First contact with potential collaborators and follow-up suggestions

- Train community orgs & individuals in helping one another
Education
- Proficient in California’s VAPA, study packet standards
- Experience creating curriculum and training teachers during PD hours
- Highly knowledgeable of LAUSD and arts orgs that serve schools
Advocacy
- Online Outreach as described above for advocacy efforts
- Report of supporters & detractors with influence
Research
- Investigate and assess possibilities in new or existing org areas
- Report on various prospects and suggestions
HR & Recruiting
- Involve recruitment of staff and volunteers into your social media strategy
- Research and assess potential candidates for positions
- Interview assistance, including conducting initial phone interviews or resume assessment
Public Speaking Coach
- Coach for speeches
- Create and coach using mock interviews, debates, potential deal-breaker situations, etc
- Coach in elevator speeches

Creative Director
- Create and execute an environment that makes social giving fun
- Work with org to find creative solutions for audience, donor development
- Live-tweeting to engage and interest the swing vote in your audience
- Create & direct presentations at fund-raisers according to org mission
- Create & direct ARG (Augmented Reality Game) for social good & engagement across multiple on and offline platforms
