“Phantoms Go Down” follows 3 siblings as they travel to Cabo to scatter their mother’s ashes. On the way, Rosalind snorts the ashes and her mother’s spirit possesses her, as Zander and Kate fight with their own memories & reality.

Timeline: FEBRUARY is Pre-Production. MARCH we rehearse/in production. APRIL we perform!

CASTING BREAKDOWN

Rosalind- female, 20-30.  Kate’s younger sister, Zander’s twin. Not any particular body type or look, but someone who you are immediately drawn to on stage, someone who has an underlying wild energy. Performance artists in Silver Lake.

Zander-male, 20-30. Kate’s younger brother, Rosalind’s twin. Not any particular look. Desperate to be heard and reunite his family, living and dead.

Kate-female, 25-35. Sarcastic, composed, although there must be an underlying sweetness that particularly comes out in the early scenes with her family. Wants to move forward and feels her family pulls her back.

Darlene- female, 30-60. Mother to Rosaline, Kate & Zander. Has a sweet side with a somewhat strange edge.

Pearl- any age (though not a child), male or female, just someone that hasa very intense (specifically comic) energy on stage. Woman they meet in the middle of the desert.

Michael- 30 and up- Father of Kate, Rosalind & Zander. Grounded, intense, haunting.

If you’re interested in auditioning, then please email me with your desired role, headshot/resume (for other collaborators) and availability these next two weeks. I will reply with sides and an audition time.
Rather than typical auditions, we want to pair up people and read some scenes/discuss the play for about an hour each session. There will be callbacks as well, which should last roughly one hour/person.
